The melodious Shama thrush  (Copsychus malabaricus) trills from the branches of a Koa tree, whose leaves are entwined with a delicate Calico Vine. A bright Saffron Finch  (Sicalis flaveola)peeks from a lower branch where a brilliantly patterned Orchid blooms. These Birds are escapees, and have managed to flourish on our Island.
